Believe it or not, but Live Oak is right around the corner! This time honored tradition is a wonderful experience for your child. They build important skills in team building, problem solving, and communication in a unique outdoor setting. It's amazing to see them in action and share in this experience with them.
Today your child was given some very important forms regarding Live Oak. One is the Highland Lakes Medical/Liability Release Form and the other is the EANES Medication Permission Form. Please complete both sides of each form. If your child takes either prescription or over the counter medications, Nurse Boldrick will need these in their original containers no later than Nov. 9th. On the back of the EANES Medication Permission Form is where you will list these medications as well as their dosage.
Both forms must be completed and turned in by Oct. 19th.
You can now pay your Live Oak fee online using the online payments system. To make a payment, login to Online Payments at https://eanes.revtrak.net/. Click on ‘Student Meals and Fees’, then click ‘Purchase Fees’. The ‘LIVE OAK 5th grade field trip’ fee will be listed for your fifth grade child. The fee of $145 is also due Oct. 19th.
For those in need of a scholarship, please contact the counselors Amy Ashorn aashorn@eanesisd.net or Adelaide Edwards edwards3@eanesisd.net for an application.
To help build community and camaraderie, each year our very own Tracie Mojica creates an amazing Live Oak t-shirt that we all wear the first day of Live Oak! If you would please send in $9 cash and your child's t-shirt size by Oct. 19th, we'll be all good to go!
For more information and packing, please visit my weebly page http://bpessaikin.weebly.com/
We will send reminders, as well as have a 5th grade student meeting to go over expectations, packing, and questions as the date approaches.
Lots of information! But here's the gist for now:
Whew! We had a wonderful 1st day of 5th grade! We spent our day getting to know each other, getting to know our classroom and getting to know all things 5th grade! We will do more of this tomorrow as well as go over our schedule so the kids will be ready to start switching classes on Wednesday! We have a great class and I am looking forward to a fantastic year!
BACK TO SCHOOL is tomorrow at 7:40, please note the time change. We will begin promptly at 7:40 in the LIBRARY. Your kiddo will go to morning assembly as usual, parents head straight to the library!
We have PE tomorrow, so please make sure your child wears tennis shoes!
Please check this page regularly for important information and upcoming events. I am looking forward to a fantastic year!
