FIELD TRIP INFO
Fifth grade students will take a field trip on Wednesday, February 15th to the LBJ Presidential Library. The students will enjoy a play titled Liberty, Equality and Fireworks to be performed by the Pollyanna Theater Group. Set in a history museum, the play’s characters (a group of elementary students) experience key elements of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s when iconic images from this important period of our national history come to life and begin to move and speak. We will also get to tour the museum at the library.
Students will arrive to school at the normal time with a disposable sack lunch. We will load the school buses at approximately 9:45 and return before the regular school day dismissal time.
We are looking forward to a wonderful experience!

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend! I wanted to give you a heads up about some upcoming things!
First, tomorrow is our first early release day. The bell will ring at 12:55 instead of 2:55. We will go to all of our blocks tomorrow, but they will be shortened, this includes lunch. Our lunch will be from 12:10-12:35, not very much time! I would suggest packing a lunch tomorrow if possible.
Thursday is picture day! Please send in your form or order online if you have not done so already! Try to get these in by Wednesday as I will be out on Thursday at a district math meeting.
I am sending home safety patrol permission slips today in your child's blue folder. This is a great way to earn leadership points and be a role model for others! I encouraged your kids to talk with you about this tonight to see what works for your family! Bus riders will be able to do morning and afternoon safety patrol, so don't worry if your child is a bus rider!
