Dates - November 15, 16, & 17
Cost - $145 - To be paid on Skyward
All forms and payment due by October 19th.
All medication must be given to Nurse Boldrick by November 9th.
What is Live Oak?
Live Oak is a 2 night/3 day off campus outdoor classroom experience for Eanes 5th grade students.
• Provides an intensive academic experience
• Opportunity for students to see their teachers as people
• Opportunity to see their classmates as friends
• Opportunity to see themselves as an important part of the larger community
What should I pack?
Live Oak Packing Suggestions
o Sleeping Bag or Bed Roll in a labeled trash bag
o Pillow
o Extra Labeled trash bag
o Tennis Shoes
o Socks
o Underwear
o Sweatshirt or Sweater
o Jeans
o Flip Flops or Crocs for cabin
o T-shirts and shorts
o PJ’s
o Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, shampoo, sunscreen, chap-stick, brush, hair bands)
o Flashlight
o Towels
o Hat or Sunglasses (optional)
o Stuffed Animal or other sleeping aids optional
LIVE OAK SCHEDULE 11/15-11/17
Wednesday -11/15 - All students wear Live Oak t-shirt to school
Arrive to school by car with ALL overnight bags.
Drop off overnight bags in Homeroom teacher's line and go to morning assembly
Go to Specials like a normal school day
After Specials we will depart by bus to the Highland Lakes Camp off of Pace Bend Rd. off of Highway 71
Lunch and Dinner at camp
Thursday - 11/16
Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner at camp
Mini-courses during the day
Friday - 11/17
Breakfast only at camp
Depart and arrive to school prior to BPE's normal dismissal time in the bus lane
Parent's pick up students early (they'll be hungry and need lunch!) Time TBD but should be between 11:00-12:00
